Onboarding Tasks with Disclosure Management

Disclosure Management is a cloud-native disclosure management platform designed for preparing, managing, and submitting regulatory filings and financial disclosures. It integrates directly with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint via Office add-ins and uses SharePoint as its underlying document store. This next-generation disclosure management solution supports end-to-end narrative reporting workflows and includes built-in XBRL tagging capabilities to help ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.

Task 1: Getting started with Disclosure Management

When you first log in, you are in the Disclosure Management Dashboard. The top menu gives you access to Help Center (documentation, videos, and onboarding tasks) and Community.

Learning about the Disclosure Management Dashboard

The Disclosure Management Dashboard is the main interface that appears when launching Disclosure Management from the Platform. It's divided into two sections:

  • Upper Section - Displays KPI cards showing file status (Needs Attention, Filing Status, Next Deadline), a recommended carousel, and a workspace selector for Admin users.
  • Lower Section -  Contains all accessible files with two tabs (All Files and Favorites). Users can:
    • Search files by name
    • Filter by file type/workspace
    • Apply advanced filters (assigned files, specific owners, due dates)
    • Click a file row to open it in the desktop application (reports open a details page)

This dashboard provides a centralized hub for managing and accessing disclosure files with built-in search and filtering capabilities.

Task 2: Configure Administration

If you are an account manager, go to Administration to create users, assign licenses, set up user groups, and register any external service-to-service integrations before your team gets started.

Create Users and Assign Licenses

Create, edit, suspend, or remove user accounts. Each user has one of three statuses: Active (licensed and able to log in), Pending (awaiting admin approval), or Deactivated (no longer has access). You can search, filter, and export the user list from this screen.

Task 5: Add a Workspace

Workspaces are the central hub for organizing and managing your disclosure work. Power Users and Admin users can create and manage workspaces.

A workspace is the central hub for:

  • Word reports
  • Linked Excel and PowerPoint documents
  • Data queries and filters
  • Workflows

Create a workspace

Power Users can only manage workspaces they own, while Admin users can manage all organizational workspaces.

To add a workspace, navigate to Workspace in the left navigation bar on the Disclosure Management website to view existing workspaces. Click the Add workspace card, then specify the name and description (keeping descriptions on a single line to avoid errors). Once configured, your workspace is ready for your team to use.
